RediPave & Night Owl traffic solutions

Traffic Management and pedestrian safety features are increasingly being created using new materials and construction methods that greatly increase safety whilst reducing traffic hold ups. One such method is
modular rubber paving and kerbs from RediPave.
RediPave modular rubber paving and kerbing units, as opposed to in situ concrete, provide a wide variety of ‘Traffic Island’ features including mini roundabouts, traffic splitters, and pedestrian refuge islands, onto which lighting and directional signage such as the new Night Owl Keep Left Bollards can be quickly and simply fixed.
RediPave, manufactured by the Rediweld company is produced using recycled waste rubber principally from tyres. The paving and kerbing modules produced are fixed to the road surface using coach screws and resin anchors. A key feature of the system is that it greatly reduces time consuming ground works which is also potentially dangerous for construction crews.
As a modular system different shapes can be made to suit almost any application. The Redipave units have a half battered kerb face and have 500mm square modules that are 125mm high. For improved safety RediPave can be supplied with high visibility markings moulded in at manufacture.
Night Owl Keep Left Bollards complement Redipave ‘Islands’ perfectly. Not only are they quick and easy to install but they are designed to withstand vehicle impacts (up to 70kph) as well as nudges and knocks from lorry tail gates, a common problem where access in towns and industrial parks is restricted. This is due to the unique design and ‘reflex’ plastic used to create the ‘bounce back’ base that allows the sign element to move with the impact and then return to the original upright position.
